Ben Ponne

Extensive Business Experience

Ben is an executive level leader with over 20 years international experience in helping clients strengthen their competitive position. He successfully led various local and international engagements, with many commercial and governmental enterprises, primarily addressing business strategy, business transformation, and enterprise architecture. He recently graduated from a top tier dual-degree executive MBA from two prestigious global business schools. During his executive MBA he maintained his position as president of an international NPO for Enterprise Architects and successfully led a merger with the Open Group in February 2009.

Previously he was a leader, coach and trainer for EDS' approach for strategic transformation and was assigned a shared role across two major enterprise programs in corporate EDS (now HP) to set direction and improve the services EDS provide to its clients globally.

Ben is an accomplished speaker in the business community, regionally and globally. He regularly presents and chairs international conferences and well subscribed regional forums. He also provides business workshops in non-IT disciplines, such as corporate finance, financial accounting, leadership, and organisational design. His key skills and interests are business strategy, entrepreneurship, organisational behaviour, business development and executive leadership development.

Education and Diversity

Ben graduated from a top tier dual-degree executive MBA at two prestigious business schools; INSEAD (France, Singapore) and Tsinghua University (China). He also has a MSc degree in Navigation Technology from the Institute of Engineering Surveying and Space Geodesy (IESSG), University of Nottingham.

Ben lives with his wife and two daughters in New Zealand.
