Martin Jones

Extensive business experienceMartin Jones

Martin has almost 30 years experience in the IT industry and has held a number of senior management roles within IT and Management Consultancy. He has been an entrepreneur and has built a commercial software sales and consultancy business with an international distribution network and a well established blue chip client base.

Martin has held senior positions on a number of large business transformation programmes in finance, banking and the public sector and has experience of all parts of the lifecycle, from strategy and business case development to system procurement, development, deployment and realisation.

Martin has worked and consulted in a number of different industries both independently and whilst working for various leading management consultancies. He has held positions as IT Director at a leading medical insurer and a large Housing Association. He has led consultancy teams on projects at a number of leading banks and retail organisations, setting up programmes to re-engineer business processes and systems. He was Commercial Director for an Internet Start-up organization developing web based collaborative solutions. He has also worked in many other sectors, including utilities, pubs, property, electronic media and toy manufacturing!

Martin’s main areas of interest include business re-engineering and design, business architecture, governance, outsourcing, procurement, strategic planning, financial analysis and competitive analysis.

Education and diversity

Martin lives in Hertfordshire, England, with his wife and two sons. He holds a degree in Mathematics from Merton College, Oxford and an MBA from London Business School. Martin has several interests and active hobbies, including tennis, skiing, running and competitive road cycling. He also enjoys music and art.
