Here are some common questions asked about our eLearning approach:
Q: When do your eLearning courses start?
There is no actual start date for our eLearning courses. The material is self-paced, so as soon as you receive your material, which takes 2-3 business days, you can start immediately.
Q: How long does it take to complete the course?
We estimate that you will be required to spend approximately 28 hours completing the course materials.
Q: What is the format of the course?
The material is provided on a CD-ROM and is made up of a set of eLearning slides, relevant TOGAF specifications, a case study and numerous white papers. The course approach is based on working through the modules and understanding the case study. The TOGAF version 9 specification is used alongside these to enhance your awareness of the TOGAF approach which is to be used when responding to the questions. In order to successfully respond to the questions you should know the Case Study material and be familiar with the ADM Process, Content Framework and all parts of the TOGAF Version 9 Documentation.
Q: Can I get an extension?
At Architecting the Enterprise, we understand that it is sometimes not posible to complete the course in the time allocated. Should an extention be required, the student should e-mail their request for this along with the reason why they require the extention, extentions are normally granted and timeframes agreed within reason.
Q: How quickly can I finish the course?
eLearning as a study method, has the advantage that students can study at their own pace so there is no minimum time for the course to be completed.
Q: How do I get TOGAF 9 certified?
Your TOGAF 9 eLearning course includes an exam voucher which allows for you to take the exam at any Prometric testing facility. The voucher is valid for 1 year from date of issue.
Q: Can I still obtain TOGAF 8 certification?
Yes, TOGAF 8 via eLearning is available should you prefer to obtain this level of certification.
Q: Do I have to get certified? What if I just want to take the course?
Our Enterprise Architecture for Practitioners course introduces all of the topics you will need to cover in order to use the latest version of TOGAF® in your organization.
